Default headers and intakes for 427ci LS7!

hi every one,

i ran a best of 9.32@ 143 mph N/A with a conistant 1.3-1.32 60" on foot brake.i feel the car has 9.2-9.1 with more tuning,,(16:1 AFR on 3rd gear :s)

i have a couple of Qs about my 427ci LS7 (high comp):

1-i have kooks 1 7/8"x3" collector right now,,and i'm thinking to go either with:

a- kooks 1 7/8"x 2"x 3 1/2" stepped. or
b- the 2" primers,but i heard that it's too much for my 427ci is
that right? or should i go with it (i mean the 2" pimeries).

2-do you guys recommend any other type of intakes(LS7 heads) and any other throttle? as the sheetmetal intakes are not allowed in my class :s and the stock vc. jr is killing the motor as i heard from some people.

thanx in advance

With your 13:1 compression I think 2inch headers will work great I'm only saying this beacuse a lot of pepole are using 1.7/8 headers with stock 346ci stock H/C and didnt see any loose in mid range and gained great power at high rpms.

check kooks or arh.
about the intake Fast is working on 105mm Intake and TB fro LS7 Heads if I'm not mistaken.

Say hello to Hany.

Are you allowed to use ITB intakes. I know of two now that have picked up 65 and 80 HP, on a 454ci LSX and the other on a 427ci. LSx, respectively. 454ci picked up 65 going to the ITB from a FAST 90/90...the 427 had a GMMP single plane with a 4bbl and went to the ITB and picked up 80 HP. The ITB's kill the sheet metals.

Thats what I'm gonna use too. Want to maybe cut .5"-1" out of them and re-weld together so they don't hang down so low.

They used to be expensive, not any more.

I'll save you the wait time. My price about 2 months ago was $2,073 shipped to my door. For that price I have no idea why anyone would ever use a sheet metal again. The ITB's crush all sheet metals and cost less.

Who did you email? You have to go through the USA distributor now.

PM'ed ya some info.
