Yes you can install high flow cats. And I don't know where that guy got 300 from for the carsound cats. I had mine at 95 shipped to my door for a pair. EBAY is your friend.

BigBlackZ28, what kind of cats do you have (meaning what brand).

Any links?

Also what the difference between the headers the 1 7/8" and the 1 3/4" ? What should I go with?

I just got my QTP headers installed. These things are beutiful, made of stainless steel and fit perfectly, easy to install, and tuck up close so there is no ground clearance problems. Cost was $675 for the headers on a group purcase, plus $20 to have a local shop make be a pair of off-road tubes. I used the SLP Y-pipe I already had by modifying it a bit myself, zero cost. I avoided the cost of O2 extensions by reconfiguring the wire loom on the driver side for more slack, and by splicing another 15" of wire into the passenger side loom. I avoided the cost of O2 sims by turning off the test with LS1edit. Saved the cost of stainless locking header bolts by re-using the stock manifold bolts; they work fine.

Don't forget about the Jet Hots $517 coated to your door and there new Y does have removable cats I think the Y was $429. Total was right at $950 not bad and they perform as well or better as some of the others. Just wanted to give you one more option. I've been looking for a set of used headers for a while I have not found what I was looking for yet so I to have been weighing my options of cost vs HP gain on a new set. Good luck!

My FLPs did not fit well....constant banging...also the pipes are so close to the oil pan drain that it is hard to drain oil...

...I complained a bunch but it did no good; the manufacturor said to use a crow bar for oil changes and that the banging was due to the fact that all F-bodies are built differently - WTF??

Suggestion: avoid FLP headers!
