thats funny cause my brother n law was like dude we are so close to the cam lets get one, the dyno guy was like wheres the cam. so i know what you mean

wow! maybe i should do PRC stg 1 LS6 or 2.5 5.3's and BBK intake and tb first be4 cam for a badass sleeper. hopefully it would make very similar power

you could just do a GT-7 cam or a zo6 cam something with a high lsa to keep the sleeper idle

How does it feel vs a cam only setup with similar power if you have ever rode/drove one sir?

That kind of off idle torque would be a Beotch to hook up.

i have only rode in stock ls1 cars or my brother n law is cammed and some head work with like 415 hp at the wheels. so i really cant answer that. see where i live its old school muscle cars here which i love, but not a lot of ls1s running around. tons of new mustangs though. which i havent lost to yet even before the heads and intake

when i cam it i want the chop idle. i cant help but love the sound. it wont be a sleeper then, but by the time i get to doing a cam, in the small city i live in it wont be a sleeper anymore by then anyway. lol

Ya im looking into a H/C/I I plan on doing. Will be a bit tho. Also very seriously considering a bolt on/spray setup. If I can get 12.0 with bolt ons. and a 10.999 with spray thats what im going to do.

thats very realistic. brother n law ran 12.0 with small cam and ported ls1 heads with 3.42 gears and 11.6 with 75 shot. he has a 01 SS M6.

My cars fairly light. In the 3200 range maybe a touch less.

And the track times dont really matter to me much. Im much more about the street. So... Really as long as im beating 12.0 cars and running with 10.99 cars thats what im wanting.

The biggest thing with me is I like the car to be at max potential. You know?

A TT ls1 with 800hp will kill pretty much anything. But when you see a bolt on car beating 450-480 hp cobras c5z's thats really impressive. And I hope to do it at each level. I want my car to beat cars that it shouldnt.

most of my races will be against 2nd gen camaros, 55 bel aires, chevelles, etc. no TT's, maybe a vette

I agree. Hence the light stalled auto formula(my car). Im working on a set of drag wheels right now. After that well figure how power i need and go from their.

traction is gonna be a problem with the rear bags i have now. but if i get to aggresive the rear end is gonna go since it is stock with 120k on it. only time will tell.

I bet it would pick up 30+ whp with an ls6 cam on that setup alone..

My car made 410whp with just ls6 cam, heads and fast 78 manifold.. ran an 11.9 @ 118mph full weight 02 SS 6spd.
