You can't buy a cam that cheap let alone heads and a cam.
So why wouldn't I swap it on?
The work required to install the cam isn't worth the effort unless it's a decent upgrade. At least it wouldn't be for me. All you need to buy is a cam and springs and it will make a huge difference.

Well it's going on. I'm not made of money so this is a deal for me. If it makes 30whp more I'd be happy... guess the dyno will tell.

ls1 is a gen 3 motor and the ls2 is the gen 4. just like the difference from the ls6 and the ls7. i heard the heads are different.. wont mount right. but i could be wrong. thats just what i was told.

I am not sure if you are correct. The ls3 is a gen IV motor. ls1, 2, 6 parts are mostly interchangeable.

well, in a few years this guy will kick himself in the *** for doing it, have a guy at work who is like this with mods, doesent want to spend the money and more importantly wait and take his time and get the right parts for what they want. ive had my car for 5 years and ive always wanted H/C and have had these types of oppurtunities to buy sencond rate parts but waited so in the end i can honestly be happy that ALL that labor was worth while. In fact i have an f13 cam in the mail. Do the swap if you must but i would be surprised if you actually saw 30hp.
