if your having idle issues you must have a vacuum leak somewhere as well. double check everything

no problem. make sure you have the tubes on the back plugged up correctly. Since you had an ls1 mani and air you need to have the old T plugged in with it blocked where the air was and plugged into a vacuum line. and of course the brake booster hose plugged in

did you do the right torque sequence?

so on the T in the back, one of the lines ran to the AIR? i removed both the AIR/EGR. so i bet thats my issue, i dont think i blocked that off. The booster line is connected, i checked it twice, lol. But ill have to reach back there and feel the T, now that you have said that, i think that may be my problem. and yea, i followed the torque sequence given on the ls1howto print out. but maybe a gasket moved while i was positioning it? ill start with the small thnigs beore i go and remove it again.

i didnt think it would hurt it? what would you recomend? i know using brake cleaner would be bad, cuz it will eat through the plastic, but i didnt think carb cleaner was that corrosive.

i used those little propane torch tanks from walmart per a reccomendation from a member on here. i just turned the gas on without lighting it and sprayed it all around the intake, TB, all vac lines. it was enough to convince me that mine was all sealed up.

mine is untuned and it definitely pulls harder up top! im waiting to see what its like then its tuned for all the mods in sig...

yeah, i just put a little bolt in the extra hole with some sealant. but that will be the first place i check if i have a idle issue

you got the hose on the back of the intake on? no intake leaks ? sounds like a vacuum leak....seriously though fix the sending unit before you keep driving it

besides driving it home from my friends house, where i did the swap, the car hasnt moved. most people who have talked about breaking their sending unit had oil leaks as well. mine isnt leaking any oil, so im thinking it may have just come unplugged. im hoping to get a chance to look at it and teh vacuum issue tonight. its hard to find time to work on the car after working two jobs during the day.

so i was able to pull out the broken half of the OPSU out last night, went over to advance auto, and they told me they dont have it, but can order it. will take 7-10 days. i told them that was crazy, so im going to call around today and see if i can find anyone that carries it.

also, i looked all over the place fo ra vacuum leak of some sort, and im just not seeing one. One thing i thought of is that i havent "restarted" the ECU yet. is it possible its just trying to adjust to the new air fuel mixture?

that may be it, see when i do my installs i always unplug the battery anyways, then plug it back in and start it back up.

did your car run like *** the first time you started it up after the install?

i agree the first thing i always do is unhook the battery in any install, its definitely worth the try.

lol, it didnt run like complete ***, but i replaced my thermostat also while everythnig was apart, so i had the car running for awhile, trying to get it leveled off. I still havent started the car since sat, and im having trouble finding the freakin sending unit. If i dotn find a place by the end to the day, im going to chevy. Im too impatient for this...

Also, is it possible to replace the unit without unbolting the intake? If i have to then i have to, but i figured id ask first. thanks guys for all your help and input. If the car is running like it should, ill be hitting summitt point race way on sat otherwise ill just be watching.

i just got done starting/driving my car for the first time. all is well for me, OPSU was not broken, and it idle like a champ.

i can definately feel a harder pull in the upper rpms after the tb and ls6 intake. it was well worth the install for how easy it was to do. i did the throttlebody bypass while everything else was off as well.

ls6 intake is night and day with supporting mods- afterall the factory did rate 00-02 ls1s 20hp higher than 97-99 ls1s due to what? a smaller cam? lol

i am very interested in this though since ill prob be doing the swap this summer and ive been seeing more and more problems during the install- maybe a sticky should be made how to combat all of these problems (even the ever so minimal ones)

The only problems i ran into during my intake swap was that i broke my oil pressure sensor and my auto tranny dipstick got in the way.

honestly you cant really mess anything up that isnt easily reverible except dropping something into the engine. its not that hard of an install, just seems daunting if you havent done it before. if you just know about the OSU it shouldnt be hard not to break it. just follow the install guide on installuniversity.com and you will be fine. my auto dipstick got in the way too but we just pushed on it lol.
