i run TSP catted Y and i can honestly say ive never heard a better sounding (SI) LS1 before, any most people that have heard my car will agree... swapping to 4.11 now its a lil loud on the HWY (TSP rumbler), if it wasnt for the cats i would def be swapping out that resonator... (ps- im 19yrs old and love loud cars so you can imagine how loud the thing is)
as far as HP goes, i did 325/342 with my 10 bolt- full bolt on 98' exp for an ls6 (which should be good for at least 15hp since i have all supporting mods)
- in short the cats will eat HP but its a scarifice you have to make for yourself, its not a "man up and do it" issue
