don't think they are obx. actually there is no name for them listed. just stainless headers for ls1. bought them from dptmotorsports. my buddy had a hooker y and cut the flanges off. butted perfect with the collector and put those polished band clamps. works great and no leaks

ive seen them in person and they look nice. ive also seen cheap ebay headers installed on other cars and they are all cracked and leaking. not to say these will or do by anymeans. one reason i stayed away from a no name header was the lack of y pipe. i got a few quotes. and to do it right it was somewhere around 300-350. so now your into it for almost 500. then what happens if they crack. you would be back to square one picking out a header and y pipe and im not one for doing headers on my back in these things more than once. i say if you can get away w/ a cheap y-pipe too than score. if your up around 500 all said and done, you might want to think about like LPP. they are nice looking headers tho and i wont bash them.

yea totally understand. We have a local shop and does most of our exhaust. his x pipe is only 125 with whatever mufflers dumped. for a 160 if somethin happens to them oh well. i'm not out much. if they work and last i consider it money well spent

Good point Omec. I'm going to look into how it would cost to get a catted y made up. If headers+y are going to be near 500-600 I will go with LPP. Maybe we can get a GP to shave a few bucks off.

just to give ya a heads up if your cating the y-pipe. i installed a couple magnaflow metalic spun cats that tuck up very nice after the collectors. cheap too.

Dam they do look good! Hurry and put them on. Let us know how they fit on our SS compared to your buddys. A few sound clips would be nice to.

its probably gonna be a little bit. Im savin my pennys for flp to do a true dual setup over the axle. Its gonna be a off road x pipe with true duals over the axle and i have borla xr1 mufflers that will hopefully tuck up in the back ( ive seen magnaflows so hopefully the xr1's will fit) ran into my cme tips.

I wonder if the collector can be heated a bit and bent downward just a bit so the y-pipe won't bang.

best solution to a banging Y-pipe is poly motor mounts! Significantly reduces the vibration and movement coming from the engine. I've never had my y-pipe hit the floor, and it barely moves at all.

What? Are you looking for a deal? These are already dirt cheap.
