Default 92/92, plug & play ?

getting the ported 92/92 fast. Can I expect to bolt it up and at least run somewhat efficiently.
The reason for asking is: I recently rebuilt the motor (and Mods below), while tuning on the dyno the clutch was breaking loose at 5200 RPM. Now, I am prepping for an LS7 clutch install as well as a much needed tranny rebuild. I will have to drive the car for 500 miles for break in. I was hoping to add the ported 92/92 at the same time. Then get a retune in a few weeks.
What have you guys found when installing the intake & TB? Will it be drivable ?

I dont see why it wouldnt be drivable, since your gonna be taking it easy for 500 miles and your getting it retuned anyways. It might idle a little high because of the throttle body, it may have a larger idle hole in the throttle blade.

There's no reason not to take it to the dyno during break in. The breaking in has to do with shifting and slipping from a stop. Once it's in gear and the pressure plate is against the flywheel, there's no movement from the clutch. Take it to the dyno, you'll be fine.

I'm not sure I would worry too much about going the full 500 miles with a stock style clutch. Plenty of people hammer new Zo6's right out of the box with no issues down the road, but at the same time, I guess it couldn't hurt? A couple of hundred miles should be ok, IMO.

that's funny i just found this thread. a guy here in Hawaii installed a Vengeance ported FAST 92/92 with FAST 42 lb injectors on his stock longblock MS4 Z28. he drove it about 5 miles to the tune shop and during that time (he seriously kept it below 4K the whole time, i swear) he developed a "slight" rattle and a bit a blue-ish smoke. later on the dyno it developed into a heavy oil fog and a heavier knock. turns out the cylinders were washed and spun #3 main bearing. wheni drop my new motor in i'm gonna drive it to the tuner with the LS1 intake/injectors and install it in the parking lot. i would say try it and if it doesnt work out then you get to build a badass shortblock. good luck

Good points, do you think that applies to the tranny as well.
