Default Whats better 1 3/4" headers stepped up to 1 7/8" headers or just 1 3/4"?

Application:

2002 Trans Am WS6
stock 346ci
heads MTI stage 2E (not entirely sure)
cam will be the stealth MTI cam 220/220
car will make about 420rwhp

I know if I go 1 3/4" stepped up to 1 7/8" it would work great if I were to spray like a 100 shot on top of the application but how would it perform on just the heads and cam application on top? want to know how it would perform on daily driving.

I would say with the cam you are planning on running probably go with the 1 3/4, however i have seen some info with a little bit bigger cams and guys running stepped headers that worked out good for them. Definately go with the stepped headers if you plan on putting the gas to it.

I would defiantly look into purchasing stepped headers with your setup, I think they will gain a little more than just the 1 3/4. Let that baby breath. Good Luck man
