Do I have a LS6 intake? I am confused about this one. Some says I already have a LS6 intake and other say I should get one.
I have a 2004 LS1 Gto engine.
Can someone confirm if I can gain anything by getting a LS6 intake manifold? or not?

I know the F body used the LS6 intake from 01 and up. Look at your throttle body and see if it has 3 or 4 bolts. If it is 3, I'm sure its an LS6. I can get you a part number in really short order...

LS1 TB's also used 3 bolts. But yes, no GTO ever came with an LS1 intake.

if it is truly out of a gto and hasnt been changed then it is an ls6, but the easiest way to tell is if it has the EGR provision on the neck of the intake right behind where the TB would go, ls1's have it, ls6's do not
A bad way to tell... 97-00 Corvettes did not have EGR.
