i dont know if those are quiet. if u plan on adding longtubes and ory then u can count out the loudmouth. like i said magnaflow or hooker would be the quietest and yet good sounding catbacks.

Corsa, quiet and loud depending on your driving mood. Nice tips too.

POWERFLO!!!

Those 2 extra resonators at the end near the tips, i believe they are there to help eliminate the rasp. Look up Detoxx's sound clip of his trans am. It probably a few threads down or on the 2nd page. He's cammed & bolt ons with this exhaust. I think it sounds great!

I mean no disrespect to anyones taste in exhaust, but you are going to get a different opinion from each person who owns a different catback. For example: I have had SLP Loudmouth on my car since just after i bought it in 2003 and have loved it ever since. Some will tell you that Loudmouth is horrible. Just loud and terrible drone as you drive the car. But that has not been my experience with it. So much so, I recently installed Longtube Headers and a Catted Y-Pipe and matched it to my existing LM. It is loud, but I like it and think it sounds pretty ******' cool. You are just gonna have to take your best edjucated guess, make a decision and see how it turns out.

I agree with Mumbles here. Everyone likes different sounds.

I have the full SLP LTs & LM2 exhaust and it sounds great at idle to just under 4000rpm. It does get a little raspy for my taste above 4K. Some love the rasp. It stays somewhat quiet unless you get on it.

If I had to do it all over again, I would've gotten LTs with more ground clearance, and a slightly quieter exhaust. The ground clearance on the SLP LTs really bothers me, but I'm stuck with it for now.

Magnaflow, I read that the Engine Master competitors where using these because they were not robbing any HP...

Unless you have longtubes, Magnaflow's are pretty damn quiet.

I also forgot to tell you that your gonna have rasp on every exhaust setup, if you run an Off-Road Y Pipe. The amount of rasp varies from each exhaust but you'll still have some. A Catted Y should eliminate the rasp for you.

Default Sounds good

I have magna flow on my 99 ss and i love the sound. Good tone at stop lights and up to 3000 rpms, i still can talk on my cell phone. When i get on it is loud enough to let people know i have something. I like being able to come home and not wake the nieghbors unless i choose to. The build quality is very good too.

I think a lot of the rasp people experience is due to the merger of their Y. If it's not a smooth merge and on part just goes straight into the other it's going to give you a lot of rasp, which mine does. But I plan on going to a X pipe in the future so I'll have to live with it for now...

Get whatcha like. Try to hear some in person at a racetrack or carshow or something before you by if possible.

I have Loudmouth 1 with ORY, LT's, cam, etc. This board will tell you my car sounds like ****.

No one, and I mean no one has ever said that in person, they all say mine is the baddest sounding camaro they've ever heard. Take internet exhaust e-pinions with a grain of salt.

Mine is very loud, though. They are right about that.

VERY loud.

+1 on powerflow. Cuts the rasp out and really shuts the sound down. To quiet for me went back to my loudmouth 2 without the powerflow added.

When I first got my car, I wanted it as loud as it could be---> bought slp lm1...lol
loved it at first, then the rasp was just so annoying, I wanted to switch. Shortly thereafter, I bought LT's and ORY, killed some of the rasp, but it was still present. I put a cam in her, just last summer, and I can say the rasp is gone.
Soooo, LM1 + LTs + ORY + Cam= love it, couldnt be more happy with it

and even though it is loud, i have a cut-out just to be stupid loud. The lope at idle is awesome, but at WOT, it sounds like a freaking freight train. Not much distinct tone, just loud, and obnoxious.

ps, i have some videos down below on my streetfire page if you wanna take a look.
