Default benefit of TSP Y pipe over Pacesetters Y pipe?

In the market for headers and will most likely be buying coated Pacesetters, however I noticed that TSP makes a Y pipe that fits Pacesetters and Hooker headers. Are they better? Thanks.

Well the TSP doesnt have a piece of the tubing blocking the exhaust flow like the pacesetter does. Not sure if it hurts performance at all though.

After some searching others have said the TSP is junk, and others claim the Pacesetter is crap. I don't know who to believe!

i dont know about the pacesetter y but the tsp is ****.
its a 4 piece slip fit and 1 the inlets on the one i got would not go over the collectors on my coated pacesetters so i had to get an exhaust shop to open them up a little but i can see if some one had plain non coated ones it would probly fit.
2 since it a 4 piece they give you 2 bolt band clanps and they are some of the better ones but where the pipes slip in to each other is cut at an angle so the clanps wilkl never seal.

the worst part is that where the y comes off the left drivers header the pipe will hang low even if u put it against the florr pan and giveing it room makes it worst and looking at the the drivers side of the car is looks like **** and plus the merge is crap.

so just buy a flowmaster merge and have a 2.5 inch y pipe made its not nessisary for it to be 3 in anyway and it will fit much better.

My Pacesetter ORY went on pretty easy. It would have been a bitch if I didn't have my car on a lift though!

We recently redesigned out ORY to have a little better fitment and better merge than the old design. The fitment is quite a bit better than before as the tolerances aren't quite so tight as on the old design. The intent there with the slip-fits being so tight is to minimize exhaust leaks. The new merge on the TSP Y is quite a bit better on the new design as well. As we all know, a better flowing exhaust makes more power! I'll see if I can get a pic of the latest design to post up. I haven't had any calls with fitment issues with this ORY.

Any chance of making it oval shaped under the driver's seat for ground and floorboard clearance?

I have the Pace ORY and it wasnt a problem putting in and looks good. However im not sure on the flow compared to the TSP.I can give you this advice though, my "ceramic coated" headers are starting to rust in spots! Ill send them to get professionally ceramic coated locally. They are good headers though, but Kooks are best!

My TSP y-pipe fits great with their 1 7/8" longtubes. Doesn't hit floorboard and have never scrapped it on the ground.

That looks good. Any chance of a pic from the inside of the merge? Also, do you have any idea what the diameter of the merge is before it gets necked down? Hopefully you can cut off that reducer and go straight back with 3.5-4" pipe. Come on TSP, you have a redesigned product, sell us on it.

I had Pacesetters on my LT1, and TSP on my LS1 now. I'm more pleased with the TSP.
