question about maf and throttle body
You will either have to have some kind of bellow (rubber hose thing) that goes from 85mm to 92mm, but that 85mm MAF is going to be a bottleneck.
I would say avoid the trouble and find a 92mm MAF and just a 92mm bellow.
But alot of MAFs making tuning weird, not sure how but that's what my tuner told me, but poke around on some good MAFs and jump on a 92mm, you won't regret it.
You just have a fitment issue.
Your 85mm out is too small for the 92mm in.
You could just find a silicone hose that fits on the 92mm side and build up the outside of the MAF with weather stripping or some such material that expands the diameter of the out but keeps it airtight.
I had the same issue with my old lid. Small out and big in. Buildup the out and keep it airtight. Get the band clamps to keep it tight and you should be in business.
Hope that's clear.
The silicone hose measurement might be a bit off, not sure what I bought back when, I think it is a 3.5" hose.
Its tight enough on the 90mm TB's so it may take some stretching to get it around the 92mm. Bumping up to 4" might be too big and then you'd have to weatherstrip the TB too.
Just search on silicone hoses and you should find plenty of options.
If I had this problem, that's how I'd go at it..
