ls6 intake hey guys i just did a heads and cam install on my car and now looking for more power i plan on buying an ls6 intake but they are so damn $$$$$$ they run around 600 on a few sponsers pages,i went to gm parts direct and they have them for like http://www.gmpartsdirect.com/results...ges=1&pkgid=62 is this the same intake as the slp intake..... what is the biggest throttle body you can get for this intake....
stock tb and u can get one used in the classifieds for like $290-350 thats what they normally go for, but if u find one real cheap like 250 or less act quick cause they go fast
$600 is highway robbery for an ls6 intake.
**** you're almost to a used FAST for that much.
watch the classified section...$250-350 is the going price. opening is 75mm or so, which means a stock TB is all you really need. ported helps though.
going just by the picture, that one you linked is NOT the slp version. the slp unit came with the EGR hole in the snout, which worked well for those who need emissions.

i dont want emisson's hahaha i live in iowa dont need it.... but i mean will i gain the same hp as the with that intake instead of the slp version
The SLP LS6 is the same thing as the GM LS6 like said above. Just the SLP has a EGR provision on it which the GM LS6 does not. You will see the same exact power with either. Get it used on here, I just sold mine last weekend for $250.
