Its something to do with your PCV system. When you had the breather on there it was letting some air escape, now with the cap back on there pressure is building up and the air is escaping where ever it can, and now oil is leaking out too.

^Agreed. His diagram shown makes it look like the LS6 setup below the intake but I think he's just showing the intake manifold connection that's right behind the TB. So the vacuum from the intake is pulling air from the valvecovers through the PCV valve, into the catch can, and then into the intake. The clean air supply is through his breather. Not sure why it's building up so much pressure with the oil cap on since the other side of the valve cover plus the other valvecover is connected to the intake through the pcv valve - unless the valve isn't working right.

I just tried to follow the instructions that came with the catch can. Maybe I didn't integrate it properly with the factory routing? I'll have to go look but the only difference I notice off the top of my head is the PCV valve is ont he other side of the catch can. I can always just try a new PCV valve, but it was brand spankin' new when I first posted this... What do you guys suggest? I want the routing to be correct for the LS3 that is coming in.

Well, I put in the correct PCV part number as recommended by Tracey at RevExtreme. Though I think it was doing it before, it is DEFINITELY pushing oil THROUGH the breather on the cap now. I know if I put the regular cap back on, it will shove oil through the dipstick again. The catch can IS catching oil. Should I try the diagram on page on and see how it goes? It's only going to be a couple more weeks but it SUCKS having oil mist all over your engine bay...

OK, made two changes:
I connected the passenger valve cover back to the TB, losing the plugs. I also put the normal oil cap back on.

Took it for a short drive, no problems yet...we'll see how it goes.

SOLVED!! Last change, reconnecting the passenger valve cover to TB did the trick! Thanks to everyone who helped, the thoughts, suggestions, observations, and theories helped me get this one fixed. THANKS GUYS!!
