Default Which cutout?

I plan on running duals, and i am putting in cutouts. What brand do you suggest? Will they affect ground clearance? Where are you switches mounted?

QTP is by far the best product some will argue but sheer neglect can ruin anything......QTP is also a site sponsor so check out the site

there was a great write up on how to run the wire and mount the switch. ill try to find it but under your passenger rear seat there is a little round rubber plug that you can run wire through and tie it into the driver side power seat power supply and mount it like this. heres some pics of mine. DMH is the best cut out imo due to warranty and opening speed.
seat before install

switch installed

Cut out from back

Cut out from side

Wiring from cutout to rubber stopper

Clearance

DMH they have a 4 year warranty. You mount the switch anywhere you want too.

DMH has a 4 year warranty, where as QTP is only a year. So I would go with the extra 3 years of protection

I have the QTP cutout. Going on 5 years now i think. Never skipped a beat. QTP is a sponsor unlike the other brand that does not support this site. I have had friends that thought DMH was better and when there was a problem no one ever picked up there phone or responded to emails. Really lack support after the sale. They dumped dmh and all now run QTP and they love it. You wont be disappointed.

I have a QTP, I've had it for 18+ mons. I open and close it at least 4-6 times a day. And the only thing that has failed was the fuse....

That being said I would probably buy a DMH for the warranty...I bough the QTP because I got a smoking deal

For a dual set up we would recommend our Oval Low Profile Electric Cutout.
Here is a picture of them on a Charger.

Info and pricing on the duals is located here

DMH is the way to go .... DMH has a 4 year warranty compared to 1 year for QTP .... I know a few guys with the QTP cutout that have had numerous problems with them .... I have been using the DMH for four years now with no problems ... call Dave (great guy) at DMH and he will take good care of you ..

PS I put the switch in the ash tray.
