Default Dumb question about coolant

my wife added some of the green stuff to my dexcool today is this going to mess something up? Should i flush the system and replace? Should i go back to the green stuff if i need to flush? Told ya it was dumb

The two don't mix well, you need to flush ( several times ) it ASAP. Some have gone back to the old green anti-freeze, if maintained properly Dexcool is the way to go. JMO

flush it and use dexcool only.

If in enuff proportions it will mix & gel up.


Like said B-4 flush it.

I think all these answers are right. And just using the green is bad too, thats why it's not used in new cars anymore. It has silica in it and that wears out the water pump real fast and also ruins the hoses from the inside out. Use it on a new car and you will void the warranty.
