Ok guys, so this passed weekend. I was on the highway at night behind an 18Wheeler. I never saw the truck move or swerve a bit, and i ended up hitting something metal that was laying on the road. I saw it a little to late, shouldve swerved alot more but i tried to keep my wheel from hitting it and blowing out. Anyways, this is the damage that's been done....

Just curious if this is fixable in anyway?? That's the only damage to the header.



Here's the Y-Pipe. I dont mind this really, ive been thinking of switching out to True Duals dumped. I just may do it now & pic was taking upside down. I was layin on my back when i took it.

 

From the way they bent I assume they are not stainless. A shop should be able to heat them and take out the dents.

 

There ceremic coated headers.

 

wow that tube is pretty crushed! take it to a muffler show see if they can pull it. maybe even a body shop.

 

I would take it to a fabrication shop and have them cut out the damaged part and use a piece of sheet metal and weld it in/over.

You're screwed, I would buy a new set of tuned length headers from SLP.

 

Hate to say it but I think I would look at a new set of headers also..

 

I would replace all the damaged pieces - get a new setup. I would think you could try and get some insurance money but not sure what their position would be though....may be worth a try!

 

New headers have crossed my mind, you guy's got any suggestions on a set of header's???

Something at a decent price, possibly stainless. ARH or KOOKS would be great but idk if they'll be in price range unless i get the job i applied for. I wouldnt mind going with BBK again, but they come with the y pipe and ive made my mind up on going with the true duals system from TSP.
