BBK intake and 80mm TB

BBK intake and 80mm TB Recently installed my BBK 80mm and intake and the thing sounds like a vacuum cleaner especially on cold startup, as idle settles so it does, still you can hear it sucking air. what is happening?

sounds like a vacuum leak... if the plate on the bottom of the intake isn't lined up correctly with the gasket when screwing it in, it can easily cause a vacuum leak... btw, make sure and put blue loctite on those bolts underneath. After a while, vibrations will cause them to back out. Last time my intake was pulled we found 5 bolts just laying in my valley cover...
I wouldn't be so quick to say that "some intakes just make noise, screw it"...
he could possibly have a problem here... if it is a vacuum leak, it would make him run lean. That's not something you wanna do...
not saying you have a problem, because of course I haven't heard it in person... but something to look into and be on the safe side...
I will say that my BBK made a noise much like you describe... once I pulled it back off and locktited everything and made sure all the gaskets were properly lined up, the noise went away and hasn't come back since... and might I add the car runs much MUCH stronger now...

I made a mistake in the earlier post in saying that it is sucking air until it settles down, but it actually just barley idles when cold, slight backfires/popping, idles at like 500rpms, sucking air like crazy. It slowly raises as the car warms up after about 2-3min...but there are several issues going on with my car right now..
