Default Electric cutout fell apart

The motor fell out of my e-cutout last night. Is there anyway to get a new motor? Or does anywhere sell a cap for the cutout without buying the whole assembly?

Post a pic of the switch or end connector if you can. If you think it's QTP look on their site for pics and contact them, used to be about $40 + shipping to repair it. Being on the car when you got it explains why you don't have the gasket/cover plate - I just took mine off and open it manually now.

The end connector is gone, must have stayed with the motor as it fell. I'm thinking it's QTP as well. The switch is silver, with a light that is white while in the center position, red while closing and green while opening. I can snap some pics tomorrow.

If it is QTP the plate should have QTP engraved on both sides. I know both of mine did....Even if the motor fell off, the butterfly plate should still be bolted onto the cutout itself

Join the club, you can read about my saga here: http://dayton-fbody.com/DFBAbb/viewtopic.php?t=3607

I've been through so many of the cutout valves, I've lost count.

I had one from summit brand worked fine untill the little screws wouldn't hold the shaft now the when I hit the switch it just the motor thing spins, barely opening the butterfly.I think e-coutouts suck. Will probably just change back to manual.

I had two just fall off. My car was idling in the driveway when the first fell off. The second I was in line at a drive through, Had to shut the car off to complete my order.

I've been though at least a dozen with various manufacturers and they all do the same thing.

If you get a DMH cutout you will not have any problems .... after 5 years and over 100,000 miles it still works like it was brand new...just call Dave at DMH and he will take good care of you...

I had a DMH, I could never get a hold of them after many tries and multiple months of caling and emails. I finally got frustrated and threw it away.

I was contemplating getting an electronic exhaust cut out, but all of these stories are making me think twice about it.
