Default how much to mill 243s?

just looking for a small bump in compression ... so what would the recommendation for milling be? (meaning how much)

shorter pushrods needed with a small mill or just use a checker?

thanks in advance

That would depend on what cam you are using, head gasket, and your desired compression ratio.

what he said. we need to know more of the combo, or what you want/have cam wise.

it is better to use a thinner head gasket like a cometics .040 than to mill your heads. A thinner head gasket improves quench while milling does not and can hurt cylinder head flow.

btw do a search to verify but I beleive a .040 gasket will give you a little over 11:1 compression
