Default Best lid for a 01 firehawk
I just bought a 2001 firehawk. i was thinking about going with a slp lid to kinda stick with the firehawk thing. I can get one for $95, should I do that or would you suggest something else. Is there a lid that works better with the firehawk hood over the ws6 hood?

A lid is a lid. You can find a nice used one in the For Sale Section for about half the price of a new one

If you plan on doin more moddin later go with the FTP 85mm.

were you talking about the ftp 92? I dont see a 85. i see the 92 wich says you have to upgrade to the 85 maf

No true - depends on the motor. I have seen up to 5 rwhp difference between lids when doing back to back testing on the dyno.

my plans are to do the intake, tb. heads and cam, headers, and gears. thats prob gonna be it.

I decided to just do a slp for now. Then when i do my upgrades ill buy the ftp and give someone on here a good deal on the slp. thanks for all the help guys.

Back in one of the older GM High Tech Magazines (don't remember which one) they did a back to back test on the most popular lids at the time and the SLP came out on top.
