Default Mac header vs. Pace setter heards

This is a poll. I would like to gauge peoples opinion on these two header systems. I will be putting one of these on a "cam" only stock 241 cast A4 ls1 camaro.

1. Mac headers with off-road y-pipe
or
2. Pace setters coated headers with off-road y-pipe.

i think it depends more on what you are looking for. the macs are better quality than the pacesetters and will probably have better top end but the pacesetters are probably gonna give more low end. Typically, the longer the header tubes are the more low end torque you get but sacrificing top end power.

I voted for mac's cuz that what I run and they've been doing okay with my setup. Also because I know that no one else will vote for them haha.

I'm sure either would be cost effective setups. The Pace's would prolly make a lil more low RPM torque but that low RPM power may not matter depending on your converter choice.

pacesetter's for sure. Just don't get the Y pipe with it. Build a custom one or go true dual because the merge on the pacesetter y sucks.

I've seen them both in person... they are both budget/low end headers, but I would choose the pacesetters over the macs. The macs have a shitty coating and tends to flake off over time leaving your headers looking like crap. The macs are also mid length headers where as the pacesetters are LT's... The pacesetters are actually not a bad header for the price, but as said above their y-pipe is complete crap so get a custom one made...

I ran macs in my old car and would go with pacesetters with a custom ypipe with flowmaster 4" merge.

I had Macs for years then switched to long tubes. Didn't notice much power increase but the long tubes do sound better.

Mid tube headers make power from mid to top end long tubes make bottom end so i would perfer midtube.

Unless you catch a hell of a deal on macs (like I did) I would go with pacesetters

And perform the same with less noise macmids all the way.
Its just me but a loud car seems real slow to me.

If you have nothing, get the LT's. Otherwise the MAC headers are good also.

the only reason I went macs on my old car, the pacesetters were still new and their fitment wasnt proven yet. The first batch were lil too high but the second/current batch are supposed to fit perfect.
