Default Meziere WP

Hi,

I am thinking of purchasing the Meziere EWP 119UHD (Heavy duty unit that flows 41 GPM)....not the 55 GPM. I want this unit for a 1969 Camaro street driven car (1000-2000 miles per year). Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks in advance!

It weighs half the weight of the 55 GPM unit and uses far fewer amps.....losing 7 pounds off of the front of the car means a lot to me if it can reliably cool a street car...

I'll let you know as soon as I get some driving experience...I am ordering it tomorrow along with the alt kit from BMR (I don't have AC or PS..manual rack). The guys at Meziere sounded very confident and they make an awesome product but time will tell.....

I personally would not use that pump for a street car. Let us know how it works for you but I am using the 55 gpm street pump from Meziere.

Usually Electric pumps are that reliable for street cars. At least in my experience's.

Thx VSOX and MOOK....I actually think the 41 GPM would be better than the 55 on a limited use street car because of reduced amps. I have used mechanical WP's on Gen I Small Blocks that flowed 40 GPM with no apparent problem...plus the Meziere is aluminum and the LSX is aluminum...I would bet there is better heat transfer???

At the end of the day, the extra 7 or 8 pounds I save with a 41 GPM is what interests me....all taken off the front of the car. That does not include the fact that I can run a very small (light) alt bracket and short belt that bypasses the WP pulley entirely...probably a few pounds to lose there too.
