243 heads and ls6 intake on a ls1 with cam .
On a side note i think i would also consider changing the valve springs as ls6 springs may or may not take a 224 at .588 lift for very long. If you drop a valve because of failed valve spring i dont think you'll be happy. Best insurance would be to buy a spring designed for .600 lift or over... Remember the ls6 springs are designed for a .550 lift cam with mild lobes, not aggressive aftermarket lobes.
my car when it had a stock ls1 intake,headers,ory,lid,224-230 cam. it dynoed like 333 untuned and then when tuned it made 374 or something like that.

I only use dual springs as insurance against a dropped valve. I'm currently running Crane springs, but they can't be bought anymore so consider Comp or Patriot. These need '98 valve stem seals but no big deal.
