Do a slp powerflo conversion on your lm1, or weld in a magnaflow/borla muffler where your lm1 resonater is. or buy a magnaflow cb. alot of ways you can go to fix your issue. Brian

I would change to a different cat back with a custom y-pipe, cats will help too. No matter what you do to the Loudmouth it will be obnoxious. I tried replacing the resonator with a Powerstick and it sounded the same. I switched to a Hooker and have been happy ever since. It all depends on how you want it to sound.

Hooker with electric cutout is the best way to go IMO. Best of both worlds

I run a stock catback, and then open the cutout when I want to be TOO loud

These guys have the right idea. Exhaust is simply a matter of opinion. If the car isn't too loud for you, than don't change a thing. Spend that money elsewhere on your car. Make it so all the "nay"-sayers get to see and hear is your "obnoxious" exhaust from them being behind you. LOL

I have a stock slp cme from factory. Im wondering how much louder it would be if I put in a cutout. I really wanna leave everthing pretty much stock. it already has 3" pipes from factory. I might cut out my stock slp muffler and replace it with a magnaflow or borla also, what do you guys think?

Your car will be loud with cut-outs, think of it as pretty much running open headered (or open manifolded).

even with stock manifolds and cats, im going to eventually get headers and a ory but not any time soon. I just bought the car last week, its got a little rumble around 3k but nothing like I want. My silverado with flowmasters is louder than my car. lol

yeah u will prob have a hard time findin a borla like that... unless u change your whole cat back. If your not wanting to change your catback i would go ahead and get a cutout with your slp

I used to not give a **** what people think, then I grew up and bought a house, and thought it could be a good idea to be a little nicer to my neighbors.

So I put on a dual/dual slp and kept my cutout.

I also wake up at 5 in the morning, and didn't want to be the ******** at the end of the street, as I remember what I did to those people when I was growing up.
