add cats, or go with a cutout + hooker muffler/catback.

To the O.P., I personally will never change my exhaust because someone else doesn't like it. If you like it, keep it. Just stay off the pedal if you're in a situation where you could get in trouble. If this isn't an option, then I would start checking out how some different catbacks sound with LT's/ORY. See what you think is quiet enough and suits your taste and try it. Good luck man and don't let those ******' pigs get you down.
I will tell you why the cops pull this **** on us...they see a car like ours and they know theres a REAL good chance the drivers got money and they issue as many tickets as possible because its EASY money; you can't dispute it!

I'll tell you what I am damn sick of...seeing motorcycles as loud as drag cars and winding the gears out right in front of a cop and he does NOTHING! Or better yet...when the a$$hole biker leaves a bar at 3am **** drunk and with the bike thats loud as hell, but we get harrassed for our window tint or exhaust. I got a ticket because I had an outline of a scorpion on my hatch glass; apparently its against city law to have decals on your windows.

Just add another muffler in the I pipe. It's going to be loud no matter what muffler you run if you have a cam.

Here's a tip...move to different city! That's BS that your getting tix for loud exhaust. Harley motorcylces are more of an annoyance than the loudest Camaro out there. You must be going ***** to wall when your around cops to get a ticket.

Cops that pull CARS over and give them tickets for being loud are complete ****, scumbags. Sometimes cops, rare, but sometimes cops give cars tickets here....but you will NEVER see a big friggin loud *** Harley Davidson (you can hear them 2 miles away) get a ticket and there's a milliion of them here in South Florida. You cannot drive for 5 minutes without seeing one.

WHY do they give cars tickets???? Because cops that pull cars over for loud pipes...are pure scumbags.

Shot...I wouldn't care. A scum is a scum...what does it matter what they do for a living.

2000ramairformula,

How does the cop know you are too loud?

Is there a decibal limit in your city?

Find out what that limit is, then stop by any stereo shop and ask them to tell you what decibals your car puts out at idle, revving and then driving by cruising. If there's a limit and you're not breaking it....take the next scumbag cop to court and burn his ***.

Cats sounds like the answer here of course, but how do you drive the car? Do you make yourself a target or just because the car is loud with you combo period ?
