Default Which 12 bolt rearend-Moser or Strange?

Has anyone purchased a rearend from Spohn performance, PA? Whats their reputation? I wanna buy a rearend from them but they said it would take 3 weeks to build, really? Anywhere else can build a whole engine in that time? Should I buy from them or recommend another shop pls.

Also which rearend should I go with - Strange or Moser 12 bolt? Thnx

I would go with a STRANGE rather then a MOSER. I have a MOSER because I didn't know the difference at the time. Moser uses 4 small bolts that tend to back out of the axle housing; while, STRANGE uses 2 long bolts like the OEM unit. Or you could go with a FAB 9 or a S60; all about the same price.

Depends on the car set up, intended use.

I have a Moser 12 bolt and never had issues of bolts backing out, ever. Been running it since 2004/5 and I have had it in 2 different cars that had a auto and m6.

Now the Tru Trac, thats a whole different kettle of fish, that POS blew twice, and now the car acts like it has a spool.

I have the moser with the tru track abou 1500 miles on it and not problems out of either the bolts or the tru track, no noise either but I haven't launched it or put stickies on it either. M6

Did you have them weld brackets etc on before shipping to you? How long did it take to build, and then to send it to you?
BTW Im looking to max out at 500rwhp so thats why I was also considering Dana 60 from Strange, its only $100 more than the 12 bolt but its way heavier. What do you think?

What exactly is true trac and do I need that for daily use or drag racing or street racing?
