i have 4:10's in a a4. there fun but they kill gas. most people will say 3:73's. but not for a DD the 4:10's are good.

I'm going to put a set of 3.42's in mine. Gears is always a good idea. After this a stall should be your next mod.

I have 3.54 gears in my Dana 60. I kind of wish I did got a bit higher, maybe 3.90. But I get 21mpg with my current setup, so I can't complain.

3.73 is the great all around gear for an auto.

If you have 3.23's I'd look into a TC.

if you have 3.23s it is a waste of money and only makes the rear more prone to breaking with the added Mechanical advantage...if you have 2.73s then i could see a change, otherwise wait till you get a 12 bolt...i have done all my times with a 100% stock 10 bolt and 3.23 gears

3.73 gears are the best all around gear for the A4. At 70 you will be about 2400-2500rpm on a 26in tire.

Agreed. If you have 3.23's already, the need for gears greatly reduces when you get a good stall.

Converter first, gears later. I'm sticking with my 3.23s!
