You guys do realize rasp is when theres a tin high pitch noise coming out of the exhaust right? DRONE is where you have that deep loud constant noise coming into the cabin when cruising.....

Thats probably what torchd was talking about, although i havent heard the magnaflow in person so i dont know if it has rasp or not.

GMMG shouldnt be much quieter than the loudmouth, but you are taking one of the loudest and quietest and saying one or the other. I'd look for something in the middle... maybe even corsa. Also, the popping is unburnt fuel exploding in your exhaust. Although this should happen with an open exhaust like this when the engine is cold, it shouldnt when warmed up and cruising on the highway. I'd look into getting a tune.

GMMG is a great sounding exhaust...I have a few friends that use it....I use a borla ... the one without the plates....it has a good sound at idle and is not real loud around town but has a great sound at WOT ... I prefer a cutouts (DMH) when I want to turn it up....a real loud car brings the attention of the police especially if you are out late at night .... I prefer to fly under the radar so to speak...

i have the magnaflow catback with stock manifolds and y , there is no rasp at all, BUT around 1400-1600 rpm there is drone while light acceleration.. but once it hits 1800-2000 its got a better tone too it? im thinking this is the poor y pipe, i want to get ARH lt's and catted y, hopefully that will remove the drone and not make it worse because at night its pretty brutal now

GMMG is VERY loud especially with an ory and lt's. If it was my car I'd go with A quality set of LT's (hooker, ARH, QTP, Kooks) and one of their ory's with a flowmaster merge (unless you got the ARH y pipe they incorporate one already) and run a 3" magnaflow catback. I've heard lots of magnaflow exhausts on f-bodys with LT's and ory's and catted y's and some with GMMG and catted y's and the GMMG with the catted y's still was raspy and too loud where as the magnaflow with an ory and lt's sounds so amazing with no rasp. I DD a 4-cyl and tried flowmaster's, thrush, all kinds of mufflers till I went with a magnaflow. I've never heard a 4-cyl truck sound so deep and not like a 4-cyl at all. I also added a magnaflow spun cast cat and it really deepened it up. I am a believer that magnaflow hands down when it comes to headers and ory's and no cats magnaflow.

The only problems with the vids would be that the cars dont have a heads/cam combo or something like that. My car doesnt "pop" it just has a annoying sound that sounds like a rednecks truck with straight pipes..witch makes a poping sound. Idk what to do about exhaust..Im afraid I that the magnaflow wont be loud enough and GMMG with sill sound like ****..

ahaha OK chief.
Magnaflow is pretty nice being stainless, but in terms of looks and sound, GMMG all the way.

Why would you put the "powerstick" in the exhaust. It looks to be the same as what GMMG has in their cat back... Two isnt enough?

See I dont mind the raspy sound. My car sounds awsome at idel and when Im on it hard. Now if Im cruzin, inbetween 1800-2400 is were it sounds like **** and has big turn off sound. Thats were it sounds like ***. If thought of putting one cat after the y to see if that takes the "poping" out of my lower rpms. I wish I could just run true duals and turn them out the sides(cut the ground effects out) but on a T/A it will look like **** with the rear bumper...
