Cooling issue
Cooling issue I was driving through a parking garage yesterday when I started smelling coolant. I stopped my car and popped my hood to find that my catch can was full and the radiator had spewed everywhere. Though my temp was just a hair under 210. Well I had an issue IDENTICAL to this when my t-stat stuck but I just replaced it a few months ago. Could it have gotten stuck so quickly?! Well I filled it with water made a short drive, no issues. Waited for it to cool off, drove further, reached normal operating temp (needle was right on the "2") and stayed there with no issue. Got to my destination and no spewing, coolant level was fine, but I threw an SES. Not sure what it is yet. Then I drove yet again pretty far, cruised at about 60 the whole way and again no issues. MY idea is that the cooling fan isn't working and that caused an SES and for my car to overheat when I was in that garage. Sorry for the super long story but I'm STUMPED. Any input would be awesome!
