how much can i cut off a 873 casting this is the cast iron truck heads i need the smallest combustion chamber possible and still be somewhat thick. is it possible to get around 60cc? i believe there 70's now

i would think you may run into a sealing issue with the intake if your milling that much

 

Not to mention loosing threads for the bolts to grap.
Dont mill anymore than .030

 

but the holes in the heads aren't threaded, i must be missing something

 

i think hes talking about the intake bolts and im running a victor jr ls1 intake so the can mill it to match righ back up im just trying to get some compresion out of a damn 5.3 and with factory dish pistons a 6.0 heads it just isnt working out ive already decked the block .010 just to clean things up i reall need some l33 pistons but cant seem to find any
