Question anyone switch from SLP LTs to another brand of LTs?

Just curious what brand you switched to, performance difference (i.e., e.t.), and any comments you care to make.

Thanks,

Jim

I went from SLP's to Kooks... We have replaced FLPs, SLPs, Hookers/Jet Hots, MAC Mids, all in favor of the Kooks. We see 355-360 rwhp on a bolt-on tuned car with 1 3/4" Kooks. We saw a 12hp gain on a car that we swapped mac's out in favor of kooks.

Let me know if we can help you out further.

Thanks for the replies!

Does anyone else have any e.t., mph, or hp comparisons between SLP LTs and other brands? Preferably with no other changes (i.e., baseline run with SLPs then swap headers, without making any other changes, and make another run).

Thanks for the info,

Jim

19rwhp going to 1 3/4" stepped Kooks over SLP LT's. 445rwhp H/C car though. I would say 10rwhp would be an average.

Honestly it's been awhile since I did the back to back dyno comparisons. Best I remember with the SLPs was 424. Little over 440 with the Kooks.

GrannySShifting,

Good question. I guess I'm trying to figure out which headers will get me down the quarter mile the quickest. So I guess area under the curve would be more applicable.
Eventually, I would like to have a high 11 second street car, so I'm trying to figure out if it's necessary and worth it to replace my SLP LTs with another brand?

Thanks,

Jim
