Default Quality of Corsa back up or still down???

I was wanting to get a Corsa cat-back last year but kept reading ppl having problems with the guts of the muffler rattling. Are they still failing long term or have they made it past the infancy stage?

Next consideration is GMMG.

Tired of the true dual setup, at least this one. A little too crude on workmanship, but what can I expect?

Charlie.

Well, I've never really heard anything negative about Corsas other than they are on the expensive side. The quality and appearance are worth it though. I've had the cat back system for half a year and no problems so far!

My girlfriend has a corsa on her 02 Z/28 that she bought back in Feb. It rattles at idle, start up and its a lot louder than I thought it would be. She is running FLP's with cats though.

I have never heard of any quality issues with corsa, I know if im buying a 700 dollar catback there better not be any quality issues.

Default Corsa Quality

I replaced a GMMG chambered system with a Corsa because of the fitment issues and the interior noise generated by the GMMG. Neever could get the chambered system to settke in- seemed like it was always moving when it was hot and rubbing on things. Installed the Corsa and was really pleased- perfect fit, great looks and have never had any rattles or quality issues. No head pounding drone at cruise and it sounds great when accelerating.

For awhile they were having problems with the mufflers themselves. Basically people who had ORYs were blowing out the internals of the muffler. Corsa was covering it under warranty as long as you had prrof that you were the original owner. They have said they have fixed the problem, and I haven't heard of anymore problems recently. I say go for teh Corsa, it will be relatively "quiet" at idle, but should really open up under WOT. The GMMG Inc. system will be louder all around.

I bought a Corsa back in April 2002 and in October of this year the Corsa Muffler shot craps. I did install PPC headers with an off roead y setup back in July on 2003. The exhaust only had alittle over 3000 miles on it in a little under a year and a half and it died.

I'm on my 4th one.The first one lasted a year till I installed longtubes and a Cam then it blew. Then the next 2 blew within 2k miles each. The last one I got was different and has lasted a year so far with no problems. They replaced each one for free and even paid for shipping.

Had mine for a year or so. Have Hooker LT's and a custom 3" y-pipe (no cats) going into it. Relatively loud driving around and really loud when I get on it, almost as loud as when I the cutouts open.

Have a little rattle every now and then on startup, but its the pipe hitting on one of the bars/brackets around the panhard bar (where it goes over and is coming back down to the muffler). I looked and saw where it was touching/hitting but just have not gotten around to adjusting/fixing it.
