Not really.
OP look around your area for a good head porter. I found a local one in my area that can get ~310cfm out of 241's with stock size valves for less than a grand. There's talent all over the place not just on tech.

If that's not an option how about some 243's with a good VJ?

i'd like to see the port volume of that head, and actually see it flowed on an independent bench and see flow though all the lift ranges.

hey dude whats up?
Ill see about getting some of the specifics for yall.

Upon further consideration the best answer for the OP is probably to save your cash for a set of AFR's/TFS's. I went budget and now I regret it.

First of all, car weight 2720?? What kind of car? Not an FBody, I know that, so...???

2nd..if you are limited to $1500, gonna have to pick up some ported stockers.
I agree with what another guy said a few posts ago.....save up a little bit more, and buy a set of AFR's or TFS....

pick up some used 243's on here and send them to TEA for a stage 1.5 or 2...it's maybe $200 over what you're looking to spend though. PRC 5.3 or LS6 stage 2.5's are used pretty commonly on here too for budget builds.

I didn't think l92 heads fit on ls1, need 4 inch bore. I've never seen anyone describe an ls2 intake as awesome either.
EDIT do you mean ls2 243's? Cause a cathedral port ls2 intake may have issues on a rectangular port head...

Never ever , ever go cheap on heads. Save for the best heads you can get that fits your goals. Next get a custom cam that is matched to your heads and then you will have a well thought out combo.

I personally was cam only, (g5x3) and then added afr 205's. I would've been so much further ahead of the game had I picked a custom cam that was matched to the heads.

If you do get a custom cam, keep in mind that there is no reason to run more lift then what your heads will flow to. (.640 lift cam with heads that don't flow beyond .625 for example)
