Depends on your plans for the car.. Show car - yes it looks better. Making the car faster - yes it is usually one of the first mods people do. It will add a couple HP but nothing to get to happy about. I would say 95% of the people on here at least have an aftermarket lid.

+1 for the SLP. I put that on a few weeks ago, and the fit was perfect after a bit of heat from the hair dryer!
Be sure to have one if you're installing one to heat up the plastic both on the old lid and the new.

Yeah its worth it. I just bought my 02 ws6 and that is the first thing I did to it. The best part was that it only took like 20 mins to do. And 10 of those minutes were spent on getting the neck of it to fit. Hair dryer worked
