160 thermostat
160 thermostat i was wondering if putting a 160 thermostat in my 02 z28 would stop the pinging when i'm running it at the track. i run nothing but shell 93 and sunoco 93 octane, don't know what else to do, can anyone help me?

Things to try first. 1- Clean the maf sensor. 2- Get a can of Seafoam do to a topend engine cleaning. 3- Change your fuel filter. A 160 will help but you need a fan switch to turn the fans on when you sitting.
Pinging +1 on a topend cleaning .
If it pings too much = it may self destruct !
The 160 stat may help a little but prolly not worth it. A can or two of Top engine cleaner would sure cost less, and would probably solve the problem.
