Default Tried the SLP MAF at the track last night.

I always run a 1/8th but we went to Memphis last night and run the 1/4. I borrowed my friends slp maf to see if it helped. First run without it ran a 12.82 hooking. Second pass with MAF spun through 1st and went a 12.96. Car is an automatic.

A different MAF is NOT a plug and play item - you have to tune for it. This has been discussed time and time again.

This is not a valid comparison unless you can verify that the A/F ratio, timing, etc. were exactly the same for both runs. The PCM might not have liked what it was seeing and decided to take action without you even knowing it (or wanting it to).

Very true. You would have needed to give the computer atleast some time to get acuainted with the new MA. Also if you only ran two runs there is no info gained from that. Did you make any more than the two runs?

I agree it does need to be tuned with another maf. I am just saying I think it picked up a lil by just putting it on there. Just opinion here.

It might have but the problem is you only ran two runs if you ran more then we might agree with you some more. My biggest question is why did you only run it twice?

Went to run it again and they had to clean the track, took about 45 mins then a few cars in front of me blew a motor close to the end of the track and they didn't check it and the next car to run which was a beautiful hatchback total his car out at the end of the 1/4. So we headed back home.
