true dual question

true dual question

i have a 3 inch lanes true dual x pipe dumped, the vibration is ridiculous in the cab and want to take them all the way back. will 2.5 inch pipe from the dump to the rear make any sound difference or maybe lose power? its gonna be under the axle btw, any help i would appreciate.

I have my duals ran under the axel and it is 2.5 inch. I have never had dumps, so im not sure if any power is lost, but the interior noise it not bad at all. There is not hardly any vibration either. Here's a exhaust clip of mine, this is with dynomax bullets. Hope this helps. View My Video

is it a 3" to 2.5" or all 2.5"? your car sounds almost like mine, i just cant stand the vibration, sounds good.

Thanks man. It is full 2.5 inch, yeah when i had open headers for a couple of days and it drove me crazy with all the vibration. But yeah I have harldy any vibration at all.

I had my TSP duals run out the back about a week ago. The vibration and sound is SOOOOO much better now.

I went 3" under the axle and do not have any clearance issues. I thought about going 2.5" under the axle, but my exhaust guy said it wouldn't make a noticeable difference in clearance. There's thread about it in the stickies. Print out some pictures and bring them to a good shop...

well the reason i ask is the guy i usually use says that something is wrong with his bender and the 3" has been crushing when trying to bend it, another guy i tried said 100 dollars a side, so just seeing if there would really be a difference with 2.5" pipe? but the like i said the vibration is stupid though.
