k&N filter vs. paper filter
You are KILLING your rings dude. You're not going to explode the engine, you're not going to go for a drive one day and say, "damn, my car feels like a dog all of a sudden".....but you are slowly, every single time you drive it, letting quite alot of debris and small particles through your engine.
What you will get, is a steadily dying and steadily decreasing performance out of your car over time.
Terrible man..........just terrible.
But its your car. Do yourself and your car a BIG favor....go get a paper filter TODAY. You will be living proof after you do it, that you will not lose a bit of power. Then you can come back here and tell everyone how nothing changed. But you will have proper engine protection.
.
Dirt and debris passing through your engine will go into the intake, then through the heads and into the cylinders. They will get combusted along with the air/fuel and then get blasted out through the exhaust. The dirt and debris will never go into the oil.
Now....if you have the worst running engine on earth, with the worst torn up worn rings on earth.....then maybe some of that dirt and debris can somehow, possibly, get passed those rings and into the oil. BUT......you would literally have an engine that can barely run for that to happen. With a normal running engine that is in good condition.....anything that goes through the engine will get blasted out with the exhaust.
Its the little tiny debris and particles that will slowly damage the rings....over time.

K&N filters are great...IF you like cleaning your filter about once a month.
My filter gets nasty to the point where its super dirty and i have to clean it about every 4-5 weeks.
I'll stick to my paper filters

so most competetion race cars around the world use paper filters and magazines tests that show k&n filters or cotton cone filters gains and that it actauly more air pass through the filter in its n/a is all bs and k&n is a plan to take the money out of peoples pocket for all these years?
1-full throttle will shorten the engines life
2-higher lift cams than stock will wear out the heads valve seat faster and more load on the rockers
3-higher rpm shift that the stock rpm limiter is not good for the engine and drivetrain (granny shifting ftw LOL)
keeping the cars in the best condition for the next guy and not enjoying our cars and making it as fast as we can on the budget? not me
and these are the stock cars at ebay .... not people on here I think
ok now if we don`t have fram paper filters and only acdelco paper filter is it also good?

Its probably the best paper filter made. But they are all good, they are so damn simple that they are all pretty much the same quality.
And they actually last way more than 5,000 miles. I look at mine every 3-4 months, if its dirty I bang it out on the ground and a ton of dirt falls out, it makes a pile on the ground. A ton of dirt that didn't get into my engine. No way in hell a K&N would grab all that. After I band it out its almost like new again. Hold it up to the sky and its completely clean like new. They can last a year as long as it doesn't get some weird road grime in there that coats it and clogs the surface somehow. If its clean and not ripped, its good to use again and again.

The only negative thing that happens from alot of crap getting through, into the engine, is premature wear of the rings. Oil will be uneffected.
