Are the stock manifold bolts and weiand bolts the same length? I bought a used weiand without bolts and wanted to make sure the stock bolts are fine to use. Also did you buy ls6 coolant lines or were you able to use your stock lines?

No the stock bolts are not the same size they are much longer. I believe weiands are M6 x 1 x 90. But you can look it up under "weiand intake" on jegs for an ls1 and they include the instructions and in the instructions are all of the necessary bolts listed for you.

I also had to use the ls6 lines, you can get them on ebay for a respectable price. The reg ls1 are too high, in fact I had to remove the green clips holding the knock sensor wires to the pipe "remove" not just snap off the green tabs.

was there a reason why you didnt use the gaskets that came with the manifold? I bought a used manifold with no bolts and needs new gaskets.

At first I did it because it was recommended, then I noticed the felpro gaskets have a notch cut out, If you have ever noticed that on an LS1 with the intake pulled off the head bolts (the round part), close to the valley pan, actually stick a little out. (See my other threads) this notch leaves a space where the head bolts is. So instead of the Weiand gasket drapping over the head bolts causing a bump for possible leakes, the felpro gasket "raises" the intake away from the headbolt and allows it to sit flush. I know it is confusing but I will see if I can dig up some pics.

Here is the picture that shows the head bolts sticking out a little the Weiand lays over the bolts leaving a hump. The felpro gasket acts like a shim raising it to a slightley higher level, so no leaks!

Hey good for you, I am glad you could do it so fast, I must be missing something, I know a lot of people that can do it that fast, Honestly I just care that I did it right. Hopefully at some point I will be as fast as you are!
