here are some more...last pic is the bag and stuff they give to extend the o2s. and well i didnt wanna wait to get the new headers that didnt have the emissions tubes, talked to my dad and figured it would be a good idea to keep them just incase i dont know anyone that can pass my car, but texas speed was real nice about it, they said they would take care of it but i have waited too long already lol so ill just stick with it, maybe get the air tubes cut out or something i dont know lol

Why is the y-pipe cremped like that? Looks slightly better than the stock one.

My only complaint is the shirt is too big I'm a big guy, but wow, XL is for BIG guys. Oh well, I hacked the sleeves off and its my new favorite gym shirt.

Heh... its HUGE on me! I normally wear a medium, so i could pitch a tent with an XL. My headers should be going on in the next couple of days. I can't wait!

I had all kinds of problems with pacesetter sending me the wrong headers lol the sent me the same pass side as you have but i have a 98 and they are positioned differently...then they sent me the right one but uncoated...the finally just sent me the right stuff the other day so ive got it sitting in my garage but unfortunatly ive got 5 inches of snow in my driveway so thats no happnin anytime soon The ypipe is 3" and it is crimped in two places but for the price you cant beat it...your next best option costs like 300 through mufflex or go to a muffler shop and build you something which will end up costing about 300 bucks so make your decision there.

ok im gonna try and get some sound clips up and pics tomorrow. the motor mounts were a BITCH o man nothing went right with them. headers took a whole maybe 2 hours to do but the motor mounts took, well a lot longer than the headers. the fit realllllllllllllllllllly tight and i had no problem gettin them in there. just had to bang in the driver firewal and they sliped up right from the bottom. i have to figure out how to keep my wires from mealting though. besides that all is good. o yeah and one motor mount screw couldnt get put back in. thats all the problems. the pipe is so close to the kmember but i saw no knock and my o2 readings went up to about 930-940 mV from about 900 so im gonna have to lean her out a little, fuel trims remained unchanged.

Is the motor mounts necessary or are you just opting not to shave the tabs off?

Sure don't like where they crushed the Y pipe. I would rather have hp than ground clearance. They need more work on that collector too. Is there any weld slag or build up in that collector? Is the hole opened up good where they welded the two together?

larry its not really for groud clearance but for the tranny crossmember if i remember correctly and then the tranny itself...my s10 was the same way from the factory as well as my edelbrock headers for that truck...when i had a custom ypipe made we just had it drop down a bit more and worked out fine instead of crushing it but from auto to stick cars usually there is different clearance so they do that instead of having to use more bends...its a combination of being cheap & making it universal really. theres no slag and it looks like they sweep it pretty good to smooth everything out from the inside....the opening is ok...as good as it could get with the design really. Like ive stated before I looked into doing my own and it wouldve costed me around 190 in parts alone...figure 50 for the collector another 25 for the adapter to put it back to 3" the tubing would run about 65 then 35 for 3 band clamps if you wanted it to be removable...right there your talking 175 plus shipping whereas its like 125 for the pacesetter ypipe and then youd have to get that custom one welded up...if your looking for those 5 extra hp thats fine I'll take 25hp ....5hp for an extra 100 or 150 bucks just really isnt worth the added effort of having to find a reputable shop to drive to with open headers lol.
