first pic is before grinding it down, look towards that tiny gap at the bottom, yea thats all teh room. when i get under the car to take some pics u will see hey could have moved it over 1/2 in without a problem. this is the only complaint i have about these
There is no reason to take the motor mount bolt out to begin with, just take the spark plugs out and shove the header up in there. I have installed 2 sets of pacesetters, the first car we took the motor mount bolts out and like you, we couldn't get that last one back in. The second car, I took the plugs out and shoved the header up. It was much easier than messing with the motor mount bolts. On the EGR tubes, cut them off and put a little weld where the hole is or jsut buy some block off plates. Another thing, I can't believe that you had to grind on the frame to get these to fit, mine fit great, they hit the K-member on a right hand turn but that is it

i took the motor mounts out because i did polyurethane motor mounts. then i put the mounts back in and then put the headers in. if i didnt have to change the mounts out it wouldnt have taken but an hour or 2 it was so easy. i didnt even take the plugs out just the started. yes mine hit on right hand turns but i didnt want that to happen so i ground it down just to be safe....
