Exclamation doing the poly motor mount upgrade which way do they bolt back on?..

took off drivers side mount, then took the alt. to get rebuilt and sanded and painted the shells and put them all back together a few hours later. anyways when putting it back in i put the curved side toward the bottom and the (side single tab)--> tab toward the back of the motor and the damn thing doesn't want to fit! Am i putting it in the right way or does the shell have the flat edge toward the bottom? When the rounded edge is toward the bottom the tabs by the center hole are toward the top.

There is one hole that doesnt line up with the other two. The other two are even with each other. Looking at the front of the motor, the two holes that match go towards the left, or towards the crank pulley, those bolts go through the roller bracket and go in from the front. The one offest hole goes to the right and matches with the small bracket coming off the driver's side of the block. That bolt goes in from the back and screws forward.

You can see the bracket sticking off the block in this picture.

are you talking about the alt or the motor mount? I thought you were talking about the actual alt.

Finally done...took about 7 hrs for drivers side and about 4 hrs for pass side! Pass side took about 2 hrs just to get the damn bolt to start!UGHHHHHHHHHH don't anyone ask me to help lol it sucks and i never want to do it again!!! but on the bright side it fixed all my issues i was having. air box lid popping off, smashed metal tube for to my heater core, nasty surges on cold take offs in first gear or REV.
