For what it's worth, I just installed Pacesetters on my car, just went out and pulled a supplied header bolt and compared it to an original bolt. They are exactly the same length.

I just Installed some Pacesetter headers yesterday, with the Texas-Speed supplied header bolts, and I am also getting noise as you are describing. I will definitely take a look at this in the morning.

Texas Speed doesn't supply the bolts, Pacesetter does.

Hmm, maybe the bolts you used were measured assuming you had thicker gaskets?

...Just a thought.

did you make sure to tighten them in the right sequence. Ive always been told to start from the middle of the header and tighten evenly toward the outside.

There was another thread either here or on another site about the same time I was doing my Pacesetters. He said his were too long also and had to reused the stock bolts. So I looked very hard at the length of the stock bolts and the ones that came from Pacesetter. From what I could tell on the set I got the pacesetter was the same length or a little shorter, so I used them.

However this is not the first time this has been posted, so anyone reading should look closely before using the bolts supplied with the Pacesetter headers.

Something to consider also is the flange thickness of the header as compared to the flange thickness of the manifold. If the two are not the same, even if the bolts are the same, there could be a problem.

Thanks guys! I appreciate that. I wish I could have done a "how to install headers video". But I didn't really know what to expect. Oh well, now I finally have my dream car, full bolt on ws6 with a tune.
