Default Magnaflow blow out....

Hey guys, anyone else have a magnaflow where the inside sound deadening material blew out? I have the dual 3.5 inch tip split tailpipe set-up, the one with both outlets on the drivers side.

This cat back has like 5k miles on it and its already blowing small pieces of fiberglass insulation out the tailpipes.

Pretty weak.

I want a replacement, but i bet it just happens again.

I've only seen it on cars with way too much fuel going out the exhaust. It's not limited to Magnaflow, and I have never seen it be the fault of the mufflers. Generally a good tune is the answer to muffler failures

Magnaflow has a lifetime warranty, I'd give them a call or something and get them to replace it.

Magnflow does not use fiberglass as a deadening material. They use stainless material packing so it does not blow out.

Well, whatever it is, it IS blowing out. I can rev it up with someone behind the car and they can watch the pieces fly out.

I guess I will call them.

This car does not have any cats, and living in Hawaii, we have a ton of moisture.

The car does run really rich (was previously tuned at higher elevation), and Ryne from CMS is sending over a new tune.

I also installed a catch can last night to keep as much debris out of the motor as possible.

No one has had this issue before?
