Thumbs up Pacesetters are on!

Well... I finally got my new headers on my car. I got a set of Pacesetter Coated LT's from TSP a couple weeks ago and just now had the time to put them on. The install went pretty well. I just ground the tab on the drivers side, and we had to jack the car up about 3 feet off the ground and the passenger side just slid right in. Took about 6 hours start to finish, but we took a couple of breaks. I'm running open headers for a couple days til I can make it to the muffler shop to get my xpipe and bullets put on. It's obnoxiously loud right now, but sounds really good even with my small LS6 cam. Anyways... I am very impressed with these headers so far. They tuck up under the car really nice and have a great fit. I would definitely buy them again. You just can beat them for the price.

Check the drivers side k-member I have allready seen 3 cars with these headers including mine and they all hit or where to close and we had to redo them. Grind the k-member just a heads up or maybe you got lucky.

Yeah, it sat about 1/8" from the k-member on the drivers side, I didn't have a dremel with me so I just cut a 2" piece of fuel hose in half and slid it over the k-member for now and the header rests on that. It will work til I feel like gettin under there with my dremel. My car is so loud right now since it's still open headered. I left my friends shop last night after we were done and went about a mile down the road and made a WOT run, and he told me today it sounded like I was right there. I have my xpipe and bullets to put on, but I'm enjoying open headers right now.

6 tenths from a set of long tube pacesetter headers? Sorry, but I find that
extremely hard to believe.

can it be possible that he lost a little bit low end. maybe this let him get more traction and if he dyno tuned it too....im not sayin he did but im also tryin to say its not impossible. my friend took off his cats, said low end power was down jsut a little and he ran .3 better at the local 1/8 mile and it needs tuning bad.....hard to beleive? maybe but i dont doubt it if everything happened right...

Well... my track is closed for the year, so i wont know how much better I can run with these on the car. The car should go about 12.70 or .80 if I can get about a 1.80 sixty on ET Streets. (I pulled a 1.86 before headers on ET Streets.) We will have to wait til about february or march to find out. Im not sure when the track opens.
