Oval exhaust ports vs round for headers? CAD drawing anyone?

Oval exhaust ports vs round for headers? CAD drawing anyone? Seems like all the header designs I see use round header ports/tubes. The 241 heads I have have oval shaped holes.
I am in the process of custom fabing some long tube headers and will be cutting some flanges, is it important to match the shape for the best flow/power?
Thoughts?
