Default True duals with GMMG mufflers?

I've been thinking about this for a while. How do you guys think a true dual with GMMG mufflers setup would sound? Something similar to this image I stole from the true duals thread. Maybe it's pointless I don't know, but it's a fun idea to toy with.

I was thinking the same thing. Where would you get the mufflers from? How big are they?

I would love to do the same thing, but to my knowledge, GMMG only sells the cat-back, not the individual mufflers.

you can buy chambered mufflers from several places.

which is basically what the GMMG's are.

that setup looks sweet...

thing i don't like about most chambered mufflers is that even though alot have 3" inlet/outlet...the inside is still restricted down to 2.5" or so.

so in that case, i'd def just do a 2.75" exhaust...no sense going crazy with 3" TDs. not worth the loss of clearance.

Dual 2.5" exhaust can still support plenty of horsepower though. I'd like to go with a TD 2.5" system with a chambered exhaust behind the rear axle going in each direction.

I believe that picture put up by the OP is from the Sweet Thunder website. I took them off my true duals, because they didn't seem loud enough for me. I am considering putting them back on now that my true duals go out the back rather than being dumped like before.

That set up is nice looking.

You can get the "GMMG" mufflers from classic chambers website as posted previously. I am running that muffler in my I pipe on my GMMG set up

no one makes chambered mufflers like GMMG does. there is that new company that supposedly makes their mufflers though that is saying they will sell them direct. Sweet thunders are completely different and powersticks are more like dynomax bullets.

check out POWERSTICKs.
They don't neck down like you think.
My setup is LT's, custom ORY, FM-Merge, POWERSTICK I-pipe then a turndown.
Sounds pretty mean at idle.
Pretty nasty at WOT too.

My lt1 with 2.5" Classic chambered mufflers, true 2.5" from these guys 3" outside diameter. Closest thing to actual GMMG.

Nice car! Looks good and sounds good. I would like to hear a similar setup or like I asked for earlier in a car with a big cam. Curious to see if it becomes obnoxiously loud.

WRONG - not like Bullets. The Dynomax Bullets are nothing more than glasspacks - NO sound tuning at all & obnoxious loud. They are OK if you have limited room & want to shave off 2 dBA's. I make chambered exhaust mufflers a little different than GMMG - mine have larger internal cores so they flow a lot more cfm's. No reason for me to start building something new & not improve it. I sell these direct plus I have some dealers. Do a search here on LS1 for "Powerstick." There are over a hundred threads with them.

Made in the USA by an enthusiast like you guys are. An old school hardcore exhaust item with new school design applied.
