I would NEVER pay GMMG prices....chambered is where it is at....unless u want to support the GMMG companie's private collection....PERIOD.

nice lookin but i wouldn't waste the money on GMMG at all! my buddy has the GMMG cat-back on his 02 SS and i like it but not as much as i love my sweet thunders, i think mine sounds alot better . . . and some of our other buddies seem to think so too

plus the pic in the op's post isn't REAL td's anyway, real ones only have 1 crosspipe and thats it and no more bends . . . makes a difference in both power and sound

Are you serious? Just because they go over the axle doesnt mean they aren't td's

i didn't say because they go over the axle there not true duals, i'm talking about how they bend back to come next to each other there for restricting some air flow compared to my set-up and most true dual set-ups if not all. to me i don't see them as true duals after they get to the chambered mufflers, true dual set-ups meet up only once, not twice but thats just my opinion

it looks like it would but it's really not, i have sweet thunder chambered mufflers on my 3" tru duals and when i had LT's with no cats it wasn't raspy. since then i've put my manifolds and cats back on and it sounds awesome but not loud enough still better flowing than any catback

to the OP I will be doing this dual setup with real GMMG mufflers once I get my headers on. it should sound different because the sweet thunder and powerstick are made a little differrent than GMMG

What? The only place the exhaust "meets" is at the Xpipe, the rest of it each has its seperate pipe, even at the back, each pipe has its own muffler.

the extra bends at the mufflers is what i'm talking about, i worded it wrong. the point is it doesn't flow as good as a real true dual set-up does, i'm not sayin it doesn't out-flow a stock catback

3" true duals with 2 18" sweet thunder resonators and the pipes come under the axle and out the back . . . can't get much better flowing than what i have other than a cut-out lol

side note: i see you have 3.42's and a circle d 4000 stall...how was the change from the 3.23's to the 3.42's? i need to upgrade and replace my diff and was tryin to decide if i should stay with my 3.23's or put in 3.42's while i'm in there. but i don't know anyone who has switched so i couldn't find any feedback.

I think I have you beat on flow, My set up is long tubes with dual cutouts at the collector and a dumped dynomax bullet The 4c is a 36-3800 stall and the 3.42's were in the car when I got it.

Look at the louver size inside the Sweet Thunders. The louvers are so huge, they seriously impede flow. I ran them for a month on one of my cars when I was prototyping mine & I did not care for their sound either - they sounded very "ratty" - like I had mufflers on my car that had holes in them.

I'm not trying to beat-up on their product, a lot of people like them & that's fine. But, they do not flow very well because of the massive size of the louvers. BIG obstructions in the flowpath.
